Summary The Accounts Receivable Waiver Specialist is responsible for gathering lower-tier lien waivers to ensure timely payments to companies within BCE.
S/he proactively takes the extra step to expedite those invoices stalled in the process.
Roles and Responsibilities Ensures timely mailing of supplier/subcontractor monthly waiver of liens Maintains an accurate and current supplier/subcontractor waiver of lien listing Maintains good rapport with supplier and subcontractors from whom we need waivers Informs Accounts Receivable Manager and appropriate Project Manager of any problems in obtaining needed waivers Maintains professionalism and good rapport with customers and field personnel, as it relates to paying the customer Provides suppliers and subs with Project Information (i.
e.
, owner name, job address, GC name, etc.
) to complete lien process Obtains required checks from A/P and sends them out to ensure return of needed supplier and sub waivers Sends out required notice of commencements and notice of furnishing on a timely basis in order to protect company's lien rights for those jobs in states that require one be sent Requirements High School diploma or GED and 2-years related experience of general accounting Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel The following competencies are needed to successfully perform this job:
